8 Juni 2018 EWC Goes back to the East

For this 4th and final event of the season for Kawasaki SRC, the team and riders are heading East one more time and welcome back Mathieu Gines following his Le Mans finger injury.
As in Slovakia last month, bright sunshine and strong heat up to 33 degrees await the EWC teams for a battle where the Team Kawasaki SRC will try to make up for the disappointment of the Slovakia Ring.

The Motorsport Oshersleben track is a rural circuit close to Magdeburg in the North West of the former East Germany.

Gilles Stafler - Team Manager of Kawasaki SRC commented:

"It is a slow and tortuous track, favouring more the chassis than engine. Our chassis is excellent but our engine cannot completely express itself on this track. Nevertheless, we have done all the necessary preparations and I look forward to a  good race. All the ingredients are present to aim for victory (our principal target), otherwise a podium finish is a realistic goal.

Confidence is also present among the riders; Mathieu Gines and Jérémy Guarnoni, who deliver consistent lap times with Randy De Puniet being a little faster (best lap from the first qualifying practice ) in Germany at 1.26 699

Finally, although totally satisfied with Pirelli tyres, it was decided (along with some direct rivals) not to ride in the second qualifying session, considering the reduced number of tyres imposed by the FIM.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR N°11 will start from 6th position and the race will be live from 13-00 CEST via Eurosport and the TV Team.
